When the viewer creates the prediction

Effect

The magician pulls out a cardboard box with a QR-code printed on it. He tells the spectator that each QR-code is made up of a unique series of white or black "pixels" that represent a 0 or a 1. The magician then takes out a pack of white and a pack of black stickers and explains to the spectator that he or she is invited to transform the QR-code on the card into the one he or she wishes, replacing the black squares with white ones, or the white ones with black ones.

The spectator then transforms the original QR-code into a brand-new, unique QR-code. While the spectator creates the QR-code, the magician addresses a second spectator, showing him photos of various famous monuments (the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Colosseum...) and explaining that QR-codes are increasingly present in public places and monuments.

The magician has the spectator select a monument and keep it face-down. Once this has been done, the magician returns to the first spectator who has finished creating his QR-code, and asks him to take out his cell phone. The chosen monument is turned over: it's the Colosseum. The QR-code is scanned with the spectator's cell phone, and a web page opens up: the Colosseum Wikipedia page!
