Let's be honest, think back to the last mainstream show you saw, at which point we can almost read your memories: there must have been Chinese rings, D'Lite or Japanese snow? As good as these acts are, don't you think the audience has seen them many times before? The magic effect is no longer there, it's simply a guessing game, the spectator is there to try and "find the trick" for once, seeing the act in real life rather than on TV. Magic is an art that goes beyond the simple guesswork of figuring out how it works, it's about making spectators feel a strong emotion !
If you're content to present a classic routine of this kind, without adding the slightest grain of originality, you'll remain stuck in your magic and in your show, regardless of the technique, which can be excellent. And yet, sometimes it doesn't take much to make a show truly magical.
